Remmereit to lead RCO!

Great news!!  Arild Remmereit has been named artistic director of the Rochester Chamber Orchestra for next season. Request for new annual meeting denied

On April 11, 2013, State Supreme Court Justice Kenneth Fisher heard oral arguments in the case filed against Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra by attorney Eileen Buholtz. Ms. Buholtz’ s petition sought to set aside of the January 23rd annual meeting of Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Inc. because of its many violations of its by-laws and the New York Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. By decision and order dated April 15, 2013, the Hon. Kenneth Fisher denied Ms. Buholtz’s requests on all grounds.

Tomorrow is the Court Date! (1/2 hour earlier than previously announced)

Oral arguments on attorney Eileen Buholtz’s petition to set aside the January 23rd annual meeting of RPO (Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra), Inc. have been rescheduled for Thursday, April 11, at 1:30 PM, at the Hall of Justice, 99 Exchange Blvd,

Rochester 14614. (This is a change from the originally scheduled time of 2:00.)

 Parking is available in the Civic Center Garage under the Hall of Justice; the entrance to the garage is from South Fitzhugh St. Regarding the metal detector to enter the building, belts must be removed and scanned separately, so foregoing a belt will speed up the security scanning. Once inside the metal detectors, ask at the sheriff’s information desk on the first floor for Justice Fisher’s special-term courtroom. It is expected to be on the fifth floor.

 This will be the first time that Justice Fisher will consider the manner in which RPO, Inc. conducted the January 23rd meeting.
